Dr. Michael Acurio a Renowned Festschrift Presenter

 

Dr.Michael Acurio made Festschrift Presentations in 1989 and again in 1991. Both won Best Paper Awards for his work and conclusions: Total Hip Replacement in Patients with a Sickle Cell Hemoglobinopathy and Effect of Growth Factors and Indomethacin on Fracture Healing.Acurio received Best Paper Awards for Total Hip Replacement in Patients with a Sickle Cell Hemoglobinopathy at both the Southeastern Regional Orthopedic Residents Conference in Augusta, Georgia in 1989 and at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1989.He was recognized for superior Academic Achievement with the William K. Nelson Award in 1990 and again in 1991 for his Best Paper Award for Effect of Growth Factors and Indomethacin on Fracture Healing.
